Click HereThe HKGD GCE Awards 2024 is an annual competition organized by the Hong Kong Game Development (HKGD) Association. The competition aims to encourage students to learn about technology through game creation and explore various real-world applications of technology. It provides a platform for participants to showcase their high-quality game creations, share their experiences, and foster collaboration within the local game industry. The awards ceremony on December 31, 2024 will celebrate the achievements of the winners across junior (age 12-15) and senior (age 16-18) categories, while also featuring game showcases, networking opportunities, and industry insights to collectively elevate the standards of the Hong Kong game development scene.

From 4:50 PM to 5:50 PM, we will hold a roundtable discussion. The event concludes at 5:50 PM. Throughout the exhibition day, there will be numerous exciting matches and activities. The awards event for the individual and school finalists in the From Player to Page competition, complete with video game related activities and experiences to reward the finalists’ performance and encourage the creative use of English amongst secondary age students in Hong Kong.
This year, students can sample new gaming devices, demonstrating to educators how these can be leveraged to realise English writing potential.
